"The Medicine Man" Radio Show aired on abc's KOMO News/Talk
1000, Seattle's largest and most popular talk radio station on August 15th,
1998. Dr. Noah McKay M.D. produced and hosted the popular live talk show for
over a year. The pioneering health talk show was a first for both Dr. Noah
and the State of Washington. Over 30 institutions and pharmaceutical
companies provided support for the show with educational grants.
Co-host, patient advocate and Harvard trained attorney
Larry Johnson was the witty sidekick to Dr. Noah. The Medicine Man aired
live every Saturday night from 6:00 to 7:00 pm and was enjoyed by listeners in
Washington State as well as British Columbia. A total of 44 shows were
broadcast. Each week featured a new guest.
Highlights of the season were an interview with Christine
Gregoire, Attorney General for the State of Washington, now Governor. The
other was discussing health care with Washington State Insurance Commissioner,
Debra Senn.
